The precursor to George Peck’s 1996, 1998, and 1999 exhibitions was the 1994 exhibition “Composite Pictures”, all four of which appeared in the Trans Hudson Gallery. Beginning in 1993, the lines in these works increasingly exceeded the bounds of any rectangular frame until, in the late 1990s, the work became apparent fissures in the walls themselves
